20 Chocolate chip cookies to suit any diet
I am a massive fan of chocolate chip cookies and have been for as long as I can remember.
Growing up my friend's mum used to buy the most delicious cookies in a box from the local supermarket (they probably still make them).
These days though I like to bake my own choc-chip biscuits for a few reasons:
Why bake your own cookies?
1 - It's fun
I really enjoy baking cookies.
Seriously, what's not to love about mixing a few pretty basic ingredients together and ending up with chocolately-deliciousness?
It's also a great activity to do with the kids because usually they're made entirely in a bowl with a wooden spoon and kids love rolling out little balls of chocolate chip cookie dough (it's a great fine-motor activity too).
3 - It's quick
Because biscuits are so quick to bake, if you're a fast dough-maker, you can go from idea to eating cookies in less than 20 minutes depending on the recipe.
That's usually less time than it takes to find your keys, put shoes on, jump in the car, drive to the shops and home again.

3 - You know what's in them
Two, I know what's in them.
Most chocolate biscuits you buy from the shops at the very least have preservatives that I'd rather avoid as well as some other ingredients that I try to keep out of my kids' diets.
This also means that you can cater them to suit different diets.
When I was on no gluten or eggs for 6 weeks, I was still able to enjoy my gluten-free wholefood chocolate chip cookies and I know you'll find a recipe below to suit you whether you're vegan or celiac or just on a 6-week exclusion diet like I was.
Let me know which ones you're going to try first. I've got my eye on the keto chocolate chip pie!
