Santa strawberries are super simple to make and oh so cute. They’re an almost guilt-free Christmas treat.

Santa strawberries – it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
There’s no doubt the sleigh bells have begun to jingle in the distance.
There’s less than one month until Christmas and I have been getting into the spirit all week.
I’ve also had ‘it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas’ (the Bing Crosby version) in my head for nearly two weeks.

Now this idea is not new. When I first made it years ago it was but it’s so simple and quick I have to re-share it this year.
They’re absolutely adorable, a great way to get kids to eat fruit instead of all the other crazy Christmas food, simple to make and so very tasty.

Wonderfully sweet strawberries were in abundance about a month ago but now it’s proving a little difficult to find the perfect punnet.
You’ll need a couple to make these little guys as you need the perfect shape.

How to make Santa Strawberries
STEP ONE
Whip up some cream with a bit vanilla (because everything tastes better with vanilla) and put it in a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.
You can use coconut cream to make them dairy free. That’s another reason I love this ‘recipe’ (can’t really call it that when it’s only 2 ingredients) – they suit nearly all restricted diets.

STEP TWO
Cut the hull off the top of the strawberries so that they will sit flat then it’s upside down.
STEP THREE
Cut the strawberries in a straight line about 1/3 of the way from the tip.
STEP FOUR
Pipe some cream on the bigger piece of strawberry then carefully place the tip on top and pipe a little more cream on top.
I had a bit of a fail with Santa’s eyes. If you look very closely you can see two little sesame seeds. It would have been a better idea to dye them or toast them first.
You can see them better in real life and I still think they’re very cute.
Serve them up straight away and watch them disappear.
What about you? Have you started anything Christmassy yet?

I noticed for the first time ever these adorable Strawberry Santas….as a “Weight Watcher” myself, I was determined to find a way to get them down to ZERO Points …. and I did! Instead of whipped cream or cream cheese, I used Cool Whip Light…..Bingo! I bravely carried them to a Weight Watcher meeting….people quickly pulled out cameras to take pictures…..I say “quickly” because they were gone in no time! Thank you for this brilliant idea….. love Christmas!a
Well done Barbara!
Thanks these look great around and on top a Pavalova in doing them here in NZ this year.
Pauline that’s a brilliant idea! So festive!
These were a great hit at Christmas. Cute and delicious. How could we use this same idea and recipe and make something for Valentine’s Day? Any ideas???Just cut a v in the top and make them hearts? and hollow out the center to put the filling in? Any other ideas??
Hi Bonnie. Glad they were a hit! Ooh that’s a good idea. Yes I think probably cutting the V in the top would be good. Maybe filling them with a chocolate cream instead of vanilla cream might be nice?
They are so cute! I suppose you could just use the non-fat cool whip also and maybe a couple of cookie decorations for the eyes!
Thanks for the great recipe!
You sure could. That would make them even easier to make!
