Apple and parmesan crisps

I am very excited to be heading off to the Good Food and Wine show today. I have tickets to see Manu and George and Gary. I spent the day in bed with a stomach bug yesterday and still not feeling tops today so sadly there will be no food tasting for me :-(. Our internet has also died (using the connection from my phone at the moment) so our house is not too healthy at the moment. I'm hoping the third thing to go isn't the dishwasher or washing machine. I did manage to whip up one experiment this week, before I got sick - apple and parmesan crisps. I did a post on strange food combinations for On the Menu this week and it inspired me to give these a go. Don't mock it til you try them is all I can say. They are quite delicious and very moreish.

Just two ingredients

Just two ingredients and you have a tasty treat.

Ready for baking

If you don't have an apple corer then you could cut it into very thin wedges. Otherwise, slice up the apple, lay it on a lined baking tray and sprinkle it with the parmesan. Bake the apples in a 180C oven for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden.

You don't want to bake them quite as much as the one at the back. He got a little bit burned. When they are cooked, leave them to cool on the tray.

Apple and parmesan crisps

Serve them up straight away or store them in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Enjoy!

Thank you! I'm a terrible baby with stomach bugs so I hope so too. I still had fun despite the bug.
