I seem to be reminiscing about my primary school days a lot lately.
Another fond memory I have is of giving and receiving candy canes at Christmas time.
There were all sorts of colours and flavours around but to me you can't go past the traditional red and white striped peppermint candy cane.
It's oh-so festive and it turns out there are a million and one ways you can incorporate them in your Christmas celebrations.
I did a bit of pinning recently and would like to share what I found.
I also made a few candy cane creations of my own starting with the candle holder above.
To make it, wrap a rubber band around a candle and insert the candy canes around the candle under the rubber band.
Tie a piece of ribbon around them and then remove the rubber band.
I especially like the cake in the top right. It's so pretty!
These choc-dipped candy canes would make the perfect little gift wrapped in cello.
Wouldn't a table full of these and lined with candy cane candles look great?!
I wonder if the idea for candy canes came from the North Pole?
Add a little bit of edible fun to your Christmas tree and hang some candy canes.
You can jazz up any are of the house with these yummy treats.
So what about you? Did you give candy canes to your friends when you were at school?

How awesome everything looks! The North Pole cupcakes and the cake both look wonderful. I'm going to share the candy cane place card holder idea with my mother-in-law - - she loves to have her table look festive and fun!

I think you could make an easier version of them too. Just tying 3 together would stand up I think and save the melting and sticking.

Those chocolate dipped candy canes are a great idea. Candy Canes aren't so much of a tradition here but they are so pretty and you've made them into great decorations. I'll have to go and buy some canes. GG

They're everywhere here. Good luck with your creations!
