Today is Busta's 6th Birthday. One thing our Busta (ok really he's my sister's dog but I love him just as much!) loves is eating (see he must have learned that from me) so of course I had to bake him a cake for his Birthday. He eats practically anything so this carrot and peanut butter choc-chip cake sounded just like him. It uses carob instead of chocolate because we all know chocolate isn't good for dogs. Doggy cakes are so easy to make and so very well received. You won't get a more enthusiastic consumer of your cakes than a dog!
To make the cake, all you have to do is throw everything in a bowl.
Spread the batter into a tin. Bake the cake at 160C fan-forced for about 40-45 minutes.
Turn it out onto a wire rack to cool.
To make the icing, melt about 1 cup of carobs with a tablespoon of cream cheese.
Spread the icing over the cake and present it to your lucky pooch.
