I'm having a bit of trouble deciding what to make for St Patrick's Day this year.
There is just so much inspiration out there.
Last year I made choc-mint-coconut cupcakes which were delicious but this year I've been trying to think of something a little bit different.
Naturally I turned to Google.
You know I'm a jar hoarder. Oh, you didn't know that? Well I guess you know just one of my secrets now.
I have an inability to throw out jars.
They just seem too good to throw even in the recycling bin so I have a giant stash of them.
Wouldn't these lucky jars be a great way to use them?
I have a little bit of a cupcake liner obsession so of course I was drawn to these printable cupcake liners on Etsy.
All you do is pay, print and then you can wrap them around any old miss-matching liners you have lying around to bring the luck of the Irish.
My hair has very limited styles so I'm in awe of anyone who can do anything a little different. This definitely comes under different.
If I were having a green-themed party I'd be pretty keen to pick up this decorating kit, also from Etsy.
I'd even be happy to have this set just to decorate my house.
I have a bit of a green obsession (there's another secret, two in one post!).
You really can't go wrong with tasty cookies topped with a cup full of m&ms can you?
If only I had a bag of marbles lying around the house I would be whipping up a batch of these adorable little happy shamrock cupcakes.
I think I'd probably put a little bit of batter in first and then add the marbles or the opening wouldn't be big enough and I'd get cupcake batter everywhere.
I did find one recipe that I'm going to attempt to recreate so stay tuned later in the week.
What about you?
What are you making for St Patrick's Day?

I'd never imagined printed cupcakes liners before, but it's a really nice touch. Simple to do, but impressive to look at.
Claire says
I'd never really considered them either James. I guess you could make your own in lots of designs too!

The "Lucky" jars are too cute! I'm loving the emerald green!
Claire says
Aren't they? You could change it up for any season couldn't you?!
Lorraine @ Not Quite Nigella says
What a clever way to make a shamrock cupcake! :D
Claire says
Isn't it?

Well I'm proud to say we're celebrating St Patties with a new baby! That will be hard to top in years to come! aI love all of your ideas Claire, so fun! Love the idea with the jars!
Claire says
Yay! I can't wait to hear more!

I haven't thoughts too much about St Pat's day. I really should get more into it but it seems to be sneaking up on me right when I'm in the middle of making masses of bloody cupcakes! I'm going to try and get another 100 made tomorrow - ran out of butter today! xx
Claire says
Good luck Charlie!!

I never decorate for St. Patrick's Day. I'm lucky to find time to put up a Christmas tree and hope it's put away before St. Patty's (yes it is)
I don't have any marbles or I'd drive over with some.. those are cute.
Claire says
Haha well I skipped the St Patty's decor for Easter this year seeing as they're so close together.
