Ingredients

olive oil

small onion

garlic

butter

fresh thyme leaves

brown sugar

bread crumbs

lightly beaten

button mushrooms
diced finely

cup
cooked barley
▢
salt and pepper

tea cup sized flat mushrooms
▢
whole cloves
Instructions
Heat the oil in a small frying pan and saute the onions until soft.
Add the garlic and cook for one minute and then add the butter and stir through until melted.
Transfer to a large bowl to cool.
Pre-heat the oven to 180C fan-forced and line a tray with baking paper.
To the onion bowl, add everything but the field mushrooms and cloves and mix to combine.
Divide the mixture between the mushrooms and press onto the top of each one.
Press cloves into the mixture.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crunchy and golden on top.
Remove the cloves and serve with extra thyme and condiments of your choice
