Ingredients

baking powder

baking soda

½ lb roughly chopped dark chocolate
Instructions
In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the butter until light and creamy then add the brown sugar and beat until fluffy.
Scrape down the bowl then add the eggs and vanilla, beat them through and scrape the bowl again.
Add the flour, baking powder, soda and salt and mix on low speed until combined.
Add the chocolate and mix it through until even distributed.
Cover the bowl and pop it in the fridge for a hour.
Pre-heat the oven to 160°C (350F) fan-forced and line two baking trays with baking paper.
Using a heaped tablespoon of dough at a time, roll it into balls and place on the tray then flatten to about 2cm.
Repeat with the rest of the dough leaving at least 3cm between each ball as they will spread.
Bake the biscuits for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
Leave them on the trays for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
